Nana Mizuki, Yui Horie Sing 2nd Dog Days Season's Themes

Nendoroid prototype for Mizuki's Riccotta character revealed this weekend

The official website for the Dog Days bishōjo fantasy anime franchise confirmed on Saturday that Nana Mizuki will perform the opening theme song for the upcoming second series, while Yui Horie will perform the ending theme. They also performed the theme songs for the first series; Mizuki plays Nanami Takatsuki and Riccotta Elmar in the voice cast, while Horie plays Millhiore F. Biscotti.

In related news, the Good Smile Company (GSC) revealed a prototype that Jun (E.V.) created for a Riccotta Elmar Nendoroid figure at this weekend's Niconico Chōkaigi convention. GSC has not yet announced a release date or price.

The second season, titled Dog Days' (Dog Days Dash), will premiere this July. Kadokawa Shoten's Comp Ace magazine had revealed on Thursday that the first season's cast members will reprise their roles in the second season, and Aoi Yūki will join the cast as Kuberu E. Pastillage. Similarly, most of the first season's staff at Seven Arcs is returning for the second, although Junji Nishimura (Ranma ½, True Tears, Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan) will replace Keizou Kusakawa as the director.
