Sol Trigger's Story Opening Streamed, Manga Announced

posted on by Egan Loo
PSP RPG arrives on October 4 with manga, free demo preceding it

The official website for Imageepoch's Sol Trigger role-playing game began streaming the story movie from the early stages of the game on Friday. The video features animation by J.C. Staff.

The website also announced that Mag Garden's Blade Online website will launch Sakaki Yoshioka's monthly manga adaptation on September 30. The game's free demo will arrive on September 6 after a delay from July.

Sol Trigger will include turn-based battles and multiple difficulty modes. The game's story centers on warriors who release their souls and make miracles. The artist Shuji Sogabe (God Eater, Persona 3, Persona 4 manga) is designing the characters based on the original scenario by Kazushige Nojima (Final Fantasy VII, Kingdom Hearts). The disc version of Sol Trigger will cost 6,279 yen (about US$78), while the downloadable version will cost 5,600 yen (US$70).

Imageepoch will release the game for the PlayStation Portable in Japan on October 4, after delaying the game from its original release date of August 30.

Update: Demo's release date corrected. Thanks, Jose_Strife.
