Danganronpa Anime's Ending Song Previewed in Extended Ad

Vocaloid producer Suzumu, Niconico singer Soraru create "Zetsubōsei: Hero Chiryōyaku"

Geneon Universal Entertainment's website for Danganronpa The Animation began streaming an extended commercial for its ending theme song, "Zetsubōsei: Hero Chiryōyaku," on Tuesday. In the video, the Danganronpa game's malevolent teddy bear Monokuma (as voiced by Nobuyo Ōyama) introduces the song and its "Super High School Level" creators. Suzumu, a producer of songs using the Vocaloid vocal synthesizer software, and Soraru, a singer who became popular via videos on the Niconico service, collaborated on the anime's ending theme.

The song's CD single will debut on August 7 in regular and limited editions. The limited first edition will bundle a DVD with the music video.

The upcoming anime adapts Spike Chunsoft's PlayStation Portable action-adventure game. Persona 4 The Animation's Seiji Kishi is directing the series, which will feature the same cast as the game. Makoto Uezu is in charge of series composition and scripts, and Lerche is animating the project.

The story follows a group of high school students, each with a different exceptional talent, who are locked inside a school and told that the only way to escape is to kill another student without getting caught. After a murder, the remaining students must hold a trial with their lives on the line to find out who the killer is.

The anime will premiere on July 4 on MBS in the "Animeism" block.
