Black Lagoon's Katabuchi, Aimee Isobe's Animated Music Video Streamed

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

The mishmash* project, a sound production team consisting of programmer Toshiaki Mishima and producer Masuya Makomu, released its anime music video with director Sunao Katabuchi and singer Aimee Isobe on Friday. The track is titled "How much longer will I have you with me?" and is sung completely in English.

The mishmash* project's first collaboration featured singer Julie Watai for a series of music videos, each created by a different artist. Several of the videos were animated or illustrated, created by Yoriko Mizushiri ("Futon"), Ryota Kawakubo, kerokeroking, and Hiroyuki Takahashi (HYPERSONIC music club). The mishmash* project's second collaboration was with dancer Miki Orihara.

Katabuchi worked with Studio Ghibli director Hayao Miyazaki on Sherlock Hound and Kiki's Delivery Service before directing his own series, Meiken Lassie. He went on to direct the Black Lagoon action anime series and its original video anime Black Lagoon: Roberta's Blood Trail, as well as the Mai Mai Miracle and Princess Arete anime films. He is directing the crowdfunded anime film To All The Corners Of The World (Kono Sekai no Katasumi ni) at the studio MAPPA.
