posted on by Jennifer Sherman
The 11th episode of the Bunshunhō Live (Bunshun Bazooka Live) streaming program of Bungeishunju's Weekly Bunshun magazine reported on Saturday that voice actors Kenshō Ono and Kana Hanazawa are in a relationship. The episode revealed reported images of the pair after a double date at a Western restaurant in Tokyo's Yoyogi neighborhood on February 12.
After eating and getting coffee, the group split up at a taxi. Ono and Hanazawa were reportedly seen returning home together to a high-class apartment in Tokyo's Minato Ward after the date.
At first, Ono declined to comment on the report, but he later confirmed to his agency that the two 27-year-olds are dating. He also reportedly confirmed that he and Hanazawa are living together. Ono apologized to his fans on Twitter on Sunday and said he would reveal such information personally in the future.
Ono played the title character in the Japanese dub of the Harry Potter films. His anime voice acting roles include Tetsuya Kuroko in Kuroko's Basketball, Phichit Chulanont in Yuri!!! on Ice, and Ryūnosuke Akutagawa in Bungo Stray Dogs.
Hanazawa has had roles in two of Makoto Shinkai's films: Yukino in The Garden of Words and Mitsuha's Teacher in your name. Her major anime roles include Psycho-Pass' Akane Tsunemori, Rewrite's Kagari, and To Love-Ru's Mikan Yūki. Hanazawa often ranks at the top of voice actress popularity polls in Japan. She held her first solo live concert at the famed Nippon Budōkan arena in 2015.
