Waterloo Festival of Animated Cinema Showing Laputa

posted on by Garry Berryhill
Miyazaki's film will screen alongside other anime favorites as well as a promising newcomer out of Korea.

In addition to works from Europe, Korea, Hong Kong and America, the WFAC will screen the films Castle in the Sky, Escaflowne, Patlabor WXIII and Revolutionary Girl Utena.

A Korean feature is also headlining. Wonderful Days, directed by MOON Saeng KIM, is the most highly budgeted animated feature ever to come out of Korea. Set in an apocalyptic future, it tells the story of a war between two of the last cities in the world.

The festival runs April 23rd and 24th at the Waterloo Galaxy Cinema in Waterloo, Ontario and April 25th and 26th at the Princess Cinema in Waterloo.
