Ain't It Cool News interviews Highlander: The Search for Vengeance producer Galen Walker, who reveals that the version being released in America today is shorter for pacing and timing than the version that director Yoshiaki Kawajiri (Ninja Scroll, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust) created. According to Walker, the Japanese cut is longer with "about seven or eight additional scenes," but without an opening exposition text sequence. Walker also says Kawajiri "didn't like" the American cut, but the director's cut will be available later this year.
