Mamoru Hosoda's The Girl Who Leapt Through Time won Mention spéciale (Special Distinction) for Feature Film at France's 31st Annecy International Animated Film Festival on June 16. Norway's Slipp Jimmy Fri won Le Cristal du long métrage (The Crystal for Best Feature Film), and Switzerland's Max & Co won the Prix du public (Audience Award). The International Animated Film Association recognizes the annual festival as the oldest of its four animation festivals. Isao Takahata's Pom Poko previously won The Crystal, but Satoshi Kon's Paprika did not win an award this year. Source: Tokyo Anime Center
