VideoScan: Afro Samurai Debuted on Blu-ray at #16

First Japanese-animated BD to reach that high since Batman: Gotham Knight
The Home Media Retailing magazine reports that the Blu-ray Disc version of the first Afro Samurai anime series was #16 on Nielsen VideoScan's list of the top selling Blu-ray releases in North America for the week of August 25–31. The last Japanese animated production to reach higher on VideoScan's Blu-ray chart was Batman: Gotham Knight, which ranked #2 during the week of July 7–13. VideoScan does not tally sales from Wal-Mart and most online retailers.
