Requiem from the Darkness to air during series' break

Starz Media, which handles the licensing for Syfy's AniMonday anime block, has confirmed with ANN that the Monster anime series will go on hiatus from June 28 until August 30, when the remaining episodes will start to air.

On June 28, episodes 67 and 68 of Monster will air, while on the next Monday, July 5, a Pirates of the Caribbean marathon will replace AniMonday entirely. From July 12 through August 23, the 13-episode anime series Requiem from the Darkness will air, with Monster returning for its final six episodes on August 30.

The Monster television anime series is based on the manga of the same name by Naoki Urasawa. Viz Media announced its intention to release the anime in North America in February of 2009, and the series began airing on Syfy on October 12, 2009.
