Lucky Star's Yoshimizu, Futakoi Alternative's Araki Launch Manga

Aka*Pro!!! ~Akarui San-Shimai Project!~, the manga designed by Kagami Yoshimizu (Lucky Star) and drawn by Kanao Araki (Futakoi Alternative), has launched in the September issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Comp Ace magazine on Monday.

The multimedia Akarui San-Shimai Project is a joint collaboration between the Frontier Works production company, Comp Ace, and Kadokawa's Comptiq magazine. The story revolves around the three Akai sisters who move into the "Maison de Comp" (Mezon do Compu) apartment. The voice actresses Miyu Matsuki, Emiri Katō, and Yuiko Tatsumi already launched an affiliated web radio program last month. Feedback from the magazines' readers and the web radio program's listeners will help determine the course of the story.

In the same September issue, Shiroi Kusaka (Shuffle! -Days in the Bloom-) launched her Megu Miruku manga.

In a separate development, Comp Ace has announced that Urotan's Strike Witches: Kimi to no Kizuna no Katachi manga is on hiatus as of the current issue. The manga had only just launched this past April. Urotan explained on his website that he reluctantly accepted the manga drawing duties even though he was not allowed to adequately prepare for it. However, the accumulated "mental fatigue" as the series progressed led to the hiatus. The manga's future is completely in the air, but Urotan says he is taking a little time off for now.
