Veronica Taylor at Dublin convention this August.

The Dublin convention Nom-Con has announced that its guests will include Veronica Taylor, who voiced the boy protagonist Ash Ketchum in the dub of Pokémon. (The character was named Satoshi in the Japanese original.) Taylor also voiced Ash in several Pokémon spinoffs, including Pokémon: The First Movie. This was the most successful anime film ever in cinemas outside Japan, earning over £10m in UK cinemas, and over $85m in America.

Taylor's other roles include Nico Robin and Ms. Sunday in One Piece, and Amelia Wil Telsa Seyruun in The Slayers franchise. She has a website here.

Nom-Con 2011 will take place in Dublin from August 5 to 7 at the Ballsbridge Inn Hotel (map). The festival's site is here.

Nom-Con previously announced another voice-actor guest, Kyle Herbert, who voiced the narrator and Adult Gohan in the FUNimation dub of Dragonball Z.
