The Pillows Rock Band to Return to U.S. in September

FLCL/Beck/Moonlight Mile musicians to perform with Noodles & All Ages

The Pillows, the Japanese rock band known for songs in the anime titles FLCL, BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad, and Moonlight Mile, will be touring the United States in September.

The NAP Utatane tour will have The Pillows — consisting of Sawao Yamanaka (Vocal, Guitar), Yoshiaki Manabe (Guitar) and Shinichiro Sato (drums) — in a lineup with two other bands. The Japanese girl band Noodles once performed as the opening act on the Delicious Bump U.S. tour with The Pillows. All Ages is a San Francisco-based punk rock band.

The Pillows have performed several times in the United States since 2005. The band also held a tour in the United States and Mexico in 2006. They later appeared at Anime Boston in 2008, followed by a tour of California in May of 2010.
