GITS Solid State Society on U.K. Blu-ray in May

Manga Entertainment announced by twitter that it will release Ghost in the Shell: Solid State Society on Blu-ray next May. The feature-length OVA was originally released in Japan in 2006, and is a sequel to the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex series. Both the series and film were produced by Production I.G and directed by Kenji Kamiyama (Eden of the East, Moribito – Guardian of the Spirit).
These anime are set in an alternative continuity to the two Ghost in the Shell cinema films, which were also made by Production I.G All of the Ghost in the Shell anime are derived from the original manga by Masamune Shirow.
Manga previously released Solid State Society on U.K. DVD in 2007. This March, the film was released in a revamped 3D version in Japanese cinemas.
