Eureka Seven AO Gets Original Anime, PS3 Game on Blu-ray

An original video anime of the science-fiction series EUREKA SEVEN AO will be released on Blu-ray in a combined "Hybrid Disc" that will also hold an EUREKA SEVEN AO game for the PlayStation 3. Further details for the project, including release date, have yet to be announced. Previous franchises that have received Hybrid Disc releases have included Macross Frontier and .hack.
EUREKA SEVEN AO, the anime studio BONES' sequel to its first Eureka Seven series, will premiere on April 12. The sequel features the return of the original anime's director Tomoki Kyoda, as well as several mechanical designers, art director, color stylist, visual effects director, and director of photography. The first anime's character designer Kenichi Yoshida and main mechanical designer Shōji Kawamori are also credited for "key character designs" and "Nirvash designs," respectively.
