Squid Girl's 2nd Original Anime DVD Directors Listed

This year's sixth issue of Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine is announcing the staff for the original anime dvd bundled with Masahiro Anbe's 14th volume of Squid Girl (Shinryaku! Ika Musume) manga on Thursday. First season director Tsutomu Mizushima, second season director Yasutaka Yamamoto, and Keizou Kusakawa (Sekirei, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's) personally chose three stories from the manga that they wish to direct on the DVD.
The comedy manga follows a squid girl who vows to invade the beaches of mankind since humans have polluted the seas. However, her invasion is less than successful, and she ends up on dry land.
Crunchyroll streamed both seasons of the earlier television anime in several countries as they aired in Japan. Media Blasters licensed both seasons and released the first on DVD.
The manga's volume 14 will ship on June 7.
