April anime about 3 high school girls' aimless daily lives

The first promotional video for the anime adaptation of Chama's Aiura four-panel manga began streaming on Friday. The video highlights the series' cast, staff, and premiere date as well as its opening song "Kani Do-Luck!" by Aiu Rabu.

The series stars voice acting newcomers Yui Nakajima, Yuko Iida, and Nao Tamura. The series is being written and directed by Ryosuke Nakamura (NANA, Monster episode director) with character designs by Mieko Hosoi (Aoi Bungaku Series, Nerawareta Gakuen). Linden Films (Senyū) is producing the animation.

The story centers around energetic but annoying Amaya (Nakajima), zero-motivation Iwasawa (Iida), and docile Uehara (Tamura) — three fairly normal high school girls and their classmates. Their daily life is "what happens when there is nothing happening."

The series will premiere on TV Tokyo and Niconico on April 9.

Update: Embedded higher-quality video from TV Tokyo.
