Ranks #2 weekly & posts best-ever numbers from Linked Horizon/Sound Horizon's Revo

The CD single for Linked Horizon's opening theme songs in the Attack on Titan anime has sold about 129,000 copies — enough to rank #2 during its first week of sales. The CD, which went on sale on July 10, contains both the first opening "Guren no Yumiya" and the second opening "Jiyū no Tsubasa."

This is the second single from Linked Horizon, the relatively new project from Sound Horizon composer Revo. It is also the first single or album from either Linked Horizon or Sound Horizon to sell over 100,000 copies. Linked Horizon's first single, "Luxendarc Shōkikō," went on sale last August and ranked #8 during its first week. Sound Horizon's best-performing single, "Ido e Itaru Mori e Itaru Ido," ranked #2 in its first week with 69,000 copies in June of 2010.

Linked Horizon's single also topped "Preserved Roses," Nana Mizuki & T.M. Revolution's collaboration CD single with the opening theme from Sunrise's Valvrave the Liberator anime. The "Preserved Roses" single sold about 115,000 in its first week in May.

Linked Horizon's single sold 58,770 copies in its first day.
