Akiba's Trip 2 Character Videos, Akihabara Trailer Streamed

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

New character trailers for Acquire's upcoming Akiba's Trip 2 PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita game were added to the official website this past week. The trailers introduce Nana (Aya Suzaki) and Kati Raikonen (Haruka Yamazaki).

Nana is the protagonist's little sister. She is an indoors-type of person who is full of imagination and loves Western clothes and sewing. She is not much for socializing, but she adores her brother, whom she calls "Niini."

Kati is a Finnish fan of Japanese RPGs and anime who is studying abroad in Japan. She has a part-time job as a maid at the game bar "Mogura" which the group uses as their hideout. Because she truly wants to help everyone in Akihabara, she decides to join the protagonist on his mission.

Acquire is also streaming the game's "Akihabara" trailer which shows the setting in great detail and the protagonist inexplicably as a bear.

In the sequel to the 2011 vampire-hunting action game, the protagonist once again faces demons and vampires in Tokyo's Akihabara (Akiba) district. The only way to defeat the vampires is to strip their clothing and expose them to the sunlight. Other characters include Yuuto Tachibana (Jun'ichi Yanagida), Kaito Tachibana (Daiki Yamashita), and Kouma Sakaguchi (Kouji Fujiyoshi).

The game will ship for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on November 7. The PS3 version will retail for 7,329 yen (about US$74), and the PS Vita version will retail for 6,594 yen (US$66). The first copies of the game will come with a "Tokidoki Tokyo Onsen Monogatari" drama CD, a special booklet, and a bonus DLC costume.
