Nobuo Uematsu, Arnie Roth Host Final Fantasy Concert at Anime Central

posted on by Reina Bolanos

Anime Central announced on Wednesday that music producer Nobuo Uematsu and music director Arnie Roth will be special guests for the Rosemont, Illinois convention from May 16-18. Uematsu and Roth will also be participating in a two-day concert titled A New World: intimate music from FINAL FANTASY on the 16th and 17th.

A New World: intimate music from FINAL FANTASY is a concert completely reimagined by Arnie Roth from the original Final Fantasy compositions to make the music more alive and intimate with concertgoers. The tickets for this concert are free and available to guests with valid badges for the day of the concert on a first come first served basis. Anime Central will be distributing 750 tickets per concert beginning 8 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

In addition to composing most of the Final Fantasy games, Uematsu also scored the Chrono Trigger game (with primary composer Yasunori Mitsuda), the Blue Dragon game and anime franchise, the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children film, Ah! My Goddess: The Movie, and Guin Saga. Uematsu's special appearance was arranged through Distant Worlds.

Arnie Roth, a Grammy award-winning artist, is also a conductor, composer, producer, and a trained violinist. He has worked as a composer for other Square Enix concerts and for various TV shows and series on PBS.
