OVA shipped in in Ciao magazine on Thursday

The May issue of Shogakukan's Ciao magazine, which shipped on Thursday, included a bonus Ciao Ciao TV! DVD with an OVA adaptation of Nao Maita's 12-Sai. (Age 12.) shōjo manga series. Ai Kakuma (Magical Sisters Yoyo & Nene's Nene) plays the heroine Hanahi, Sōma Saitō (Future Card Buddyfight's Tasuku Ryūenji) plays her love interest Takao, and Sayuri Hara (Inari Kon Kon's Kon) plays Hanahi's rival Kokoa.

The story begins with Hanahi, a sixth-grade girl who is neither an adult nor a child. She deals with issues such as accidentally witnessing her homeroom teacher kissing, and worrying about experiencing physiological changes before her friends. The manga depicts a 12-year-old girl's innocent worries and first love in a series of short stories.

The OVA adapts the manga's 12-Sai. ~Kiss, Kirai, Suki~ (Age 12: Kiss, Hate, Love) story, which was included in the first compiled volume. Besides the OVA, the issue's bonus Ciao Ciao TV! DVD will include the last installment of the live-action cross-dressing idol series Dolly Kanon ~Mirai wa Bokura no Te no Naka~ (The Future Is in Our Hands), and a new installment of the Chibi Devi! ~Super e Ikō~ (Let's Go to the Supermarket) supernatural comedy anime.

In the same May issue of Ciao, Maita (Konkon x Honey, Ano Hi, Bokura wa…) started a new Age 12 arc called 12-Sai. ~Yakusoku~ (Age 12: Promise).
