One Piece: Super Grand Battle! X Game Offers Amiibo Support This Winter

Bandai Namco Games announced on Monday that the One Piece: Super Grand Battle! X (One Piece: Chō Grand Battle! X) Nintendo 3DS game will offer Amiibo support in an upcoming patch this winter.
The Mario, Link, and Fox Amiibos offer their costumes to Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji, respectively. The Luigi Amiibo will also give Luffy a Luigi costume.
The "traditional" fighting game promises the largest "dream battle" in any game inspired by Eiichiro Oda's One Piece manga thus far. The game features more than 85 characters from the manga and anime's New World setting. The game is the latest One Piece fighting game installment after the Grand Battle! and GIGANT Battle! entries.
The game shipped in Japan on November 13 for 5,690 yen (about US$48). First copies of the game came with a "Grand! Revival" sticker, a "Grand! Revival" reversible package, a download code to receive three songs ("We Are!," "We Go!," and "Wake up!") to listen to within the game, and a serial code to receive Chopper (increased intellect) and Black Tairo Turtle characters for the One Piece: Treasure Cruise smartphone game.
Amiibo figures unlock exclusive game content and features in games such as Super Smash Brothers, Hyrule Warriors and Mario Kart 8.
