The top Western film in Japan by far was Disney's Frozen with 25.47 billion yen (US$214.6 million), followed by Disney's Maleficent (6.53 billion yen/US$55.2 million) and TOHO's release of Garth Edwards' Godzilla (3.2 billion yen/US$27.0 million).
