Singer's "Rally Go Round" single ships on May 27 after anime's April 10 premiere

Singer LiSA will release her eighth single, "Rally Go Round," on May 27. This single from her latest album Launcher will serve as the opening theme song for Nisekoi:, the second anime season based on Naoshi Komi's Nisekoi - False Love manga. LiSA co-wrote the pop tune's lyrics with Shin Furuya, and Jin composed the music.

The CD single will have three editions: a limited first edition and a limited-time pressing edition that both bundle DVDs, and a regular edition with just the CD.

LiSA will start her solo tour "LiVE is Smile Always ~Launcher~" at the end of April. The home video release of her January 10 and 11 "LiVE is Smile Always ~PiNK & BLACK~" concerts at Tokyo's Nippon Budōkan arena will ship on July 22.

Naoshi Komi's original Nisekoi - False Love manga and the anime revolve around Raku Ichijō (Kouki Uchiyama), a normal high school student who happens to be the heir to a yakuza group. The attractive but violent transfer student Chitoge Kirisaki (Nao Toyama), the heir to a rival yakuza group, transfers to his class, and the two must pretend to date to keep a war from breaking out between their families.

The 14th and 16th manga volumes each bundled an original video anime (OVA) on DVD, and the 17th volume will bundle an OVA as well. Chief director Akiyuki Shinbo, director Naoyuki Tatsuwa, character designer Nobuhiro Sugiyama, the anime studio SHAFT, and the main cast are all returning for the OVAs after working on the television anime. Ayane Sakura and Manami Numakura (The [email protected], Shirobako) are joining the cast as Haru Onodera and Paula McCoy, respectively.

The new anime season will premiere in Japan on April 10.

Komi launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2011 and Viz Media is releasing the original manga digitally and in print. Aniplex of America began releasing the television anime series on Blu-ray Disc in November, and Crunchyroll streamed the television anime as it aired in Japan.
