The Last: Naruto the Movie topped both the Japanese Blu-ray Disc and DVD charts from Oricon during its first week of sales after July 22. In the July 20-26 week, it sold 19,335 copies of the limited complete Blu-ray edition, and it also sold 18,565 of the limited complete DVD edition and 4,706 of the standard DVD edition.

The movie set franchise records for first-week sales on both the Blu-ray and DVD charts. It is also the first time that the Naruto franchise topped both charts simultaneously. The previous franchise record holders were the limited complete edition of the Naruto Shippūden: Blood Prison film (#3 on the weekly DVD chart in 2012) and the limited complete edition of Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie (#11 on the weekly Blu-ray chart in 2013).
