Haruna Nakazato launched manga adapting series of anime shorts last November

The November issue of Kodansha's Monthly Shōnen Sirius magazine announced on Saturday that Haruna Nakazato's manga adaptation of the Ai: Tenchi Muyo! anime will end in the next issue, which Kodansha will publish on October 26.

Nakazato launched the manga in Monthly Shōnen Sirius last November, and Kodansha has not yet published any compiled book volumes of the series.

The original five-minute anime series premiered in October 2014 and ran for 60 episodes. In the anime's story, the world is in trouble because Washu is stirring up trouble again. In order to save the world from crisis, Tenchi goes undercover as a teacher in a girls' school. However, many problems arise as Tenchi is predisposed to finding trouble.

Character designer Suzuhito Yasuda (Durarara!!, Yozakura Quartet) designed the characters for the anime and Hiroshi Negishi (Tenchi Universe, Saber Marionette J) returned to the franchise to direct.

Nakazato won the 23rd Sirius New Face Awards in 2012 with the short manga "Hoshi no Ame."
