Ajin Anime's Season 2 Ad Reveals CreepHyp's Main Theme Song

angela, fripSide perform 2 collaboration songs for 1st & 2nd half of season 2 premiering October 7

The official website for the Ajin anime project began streaming a commercial for the second season of the television anime on Monday. The video reveals that CreepHyp (RIN-NE 2) is performing the "main theme" song for the anime, titled "Kōtei no Sumi ni Futari, Kaze ga Fuite Ima Nara Ieru ka na," (Maybe the Couple at a Corner of the Schoolyard Can Say What They Want, Now that the Wind Is Blowing) and previews the song.

The video's description also reveals that the anime will have two opening songs for the first and second half of the anime, with both being collaboration songs between the groups angela and fripSide. The first song is described as an angela×fripSide collaboration, and the second song is described as a fripSide×angela collaboration. King Records previously streamed a video featuring angela×fripSide collaboration song "Boku wa Boku de Atte," which will feature in the second season's first half.

The anime will premiere on MBS and TBS on October 7, and on BS TBS on October 8.

The anime project adapts Gamon Sakurai's Ajin - Demi-Human manga. In the manga's story, an immortal first appeared on an African battlefield 17 years ago. Later, rare, unknown new immortal lifeforms began appearing among humans, and they became known as "Ajin" (demi-humans). Just before summer vacation, a Japanese high school student named Kei Nagai is instantly killed in a traffic accident on his way home from school. However, he is revived, and a price is placed on his head. Thus begins a boy's life on the run from all of humankind.

The first season of Ajin premiered on January 15 and ran for 13 episodes. Netflix streamed new episodes in Japan three days after they premiered on Japanese television, and it began streaming the entire first season outside of Japan on April 12.

Polygon Pictures animated the television anime, and it is also animating the three-part anime film adaptation. Additionally, the television anime and anime films also feature the same main staff. The first film, titled Ajin: Shōdō, opened in Japan last November. The second film, titled Ajin: Shōtotsu, opened on May 6. The third film, Ajin: Shōgeki (Ajin: Crash), will open in Japan on Friday, September 23.

A limited edition of the eighth volume of Gamon Sakurai's original manga also bundled an original anime DVD on May 6. A limited edition of the ninth volume will also bundle an OAD when it ships on October 7.
