1st 12-episode series premiered in October, is currently airing on Toonami

The staff and cast for the television anime adaptation of ONE and Yūsuke Murata's One-Punch Man manga announced at the "One Punch Man Fall Festival" event on Sunday that the anime is getting a second season. The staff also announced that the series is getting a smartphone game app next year.

Madhouse and director Shingo Natsume's first 12-episode anime season aired in Japan from October-December 2015. Viz Media and Daisuki both streamed the series outside of Japan as it aired.

The anime premiered with an English dub on Adult Swim's Toonami block on July 16.

Murata's manga series adapts ONE's original web manga of the same name. Murata's manga is currently running on Shueisha's free Tonari no Young Jump spinoff website. Viz Media is publishing the original manga series digitally on its Weekly Shonen Jump anthology, and it is also releasing the series in print. Viz Media released the manga's eighth compiled volume on September 6. Shueisha published the manga's 11th compiled volume in Japan on June 3.

The anime's Japanese Blu-ray Disc and DVD volumes include six original video anime episodes, and the manga's 10th volume in Japan shipped with an OVA in December.
