Kenshi Yonezu, Little Glee Monster Perform My Hero Academia 2nd Anime Season's Theme Songs

New series premieres in Japan on March 25

This year's 12th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is announcing on Monday that Kenshi Yonezu and Little Glee Monster will perform the theme songs for the second anime season of My Hero Academia. Yonezu will perform the opening theme song "Peace Sign," and Little Glee Monster will perform the ending theme song.

Yonezu released Vocaloid music under the name Hachi starting in 2009, and then debuted under his own name in 2012. He released his third album in 2015. He is performing the second ending theme song for the March comes in like a lion anime series.

The female vocal group Little Glee Monster debuted in October 2014, and they released their second album on January 6. The group previously performed a theme song for the Pikachu to Pokémon Ongakutai anime short.

New cast members for the show's second season include:

Kenji Nagasaki is returning to direct the series at BONES, with Yousuke Kuroda returning to write and oversee the scripts. Yoshihiko Umakoshi is again serving as the character designer and chief animation director, and Yuuki Hayashi is also returning to compose the music. The main cast from the first season is also returning.

The anime will air on Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. on the NTV (Nippon TV) and YTV (Yomiuri TV) channels beginning on March 25 with an episode recapping the first season. The new season will cover the U.A. Sports Festival arc of Kōhei Horikoshi's original manga.
