Both films to open in Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Philippines

Odex announced on Saturday and Monday that it will screen Crayon Shin-chan: Ramen Rebellion (Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Bakumori! Kung-Fu Boys ~Ramen Tairan~) — the upcoming 26th Crayon Shin-chan film — as well as the Gekijōban Servamp: Alice in the Garden anime film, in Southeast Asia, including in Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, and the Philippines. The company did not give opening dates for the films.

Crayon Shin-chan: Ramen Rebellion will open in Japan on April 13.

The kung-fu action film will be set in a Chinatown named Aiyātown in Kusakabe, Saitama (the setting of the main series). Crayon Shin-chan Bakusui! Yumemi World Dai Totsugeki director Wataru Takahashi is returning to direct the film. Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Ora no Hikkoshi Monogatari ~Saboten Daishūgeki scriptwriter Kimiko Ueno is writing the script.

Megumi Han will guest star as new character Ran Tama. The Momoiro Clover Z group will also guest star in the film. They will play an idol group known as "Kuroguro Clover Z," which translates to "Pitch Black Clover Z" as opposed to "Pink Clover Z." They work for the fictional ramen company Black Panda Ramen, and will perform the image song "Black Panda Ramen Sanka" (Song of Praise), as well as the film's theme song "Xiào Yīxiào!" (Smile!).

The Gekijōban Servamp: Alice in the Garden anime film will open in Japan on April 7. The film's story will deal with Misono Alicein's past. The main cast from the television anime will reprise their roles. Hideaki Nakano is returning to direct the film at Platinum Vision, and Junko Yamanaka is again designing the characters. Ayumu Hisao (Yowamushi Pedal: Spare Bike, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) is replacing Kenji Konuta to write the script.

OLDCODEX will return to perform the film's theme song "One Side." OLDCODEX previously performed the television anime's opening theme song.

Tanaka launched the series in Monthly Comic Gene in 2011, and Kadokawa published the manga's 11th volume in December. Monthly Comic Gene is listing that the manga has 1.5 million copies in print. The manga inspired a television anime in July 2016. Animax Asia aired the anime in June last year.
