jizue handles music for anime premiering next year

The official website for the original television anime Hoshiai no Sora (Star-Crossing Skies) updated on Saturday with a new promotional video and key visual. The staff also announced that instrumental band jizue is handling music for the anime, and their music is previewed in the new video.

Character designer Yūichi Takahashi illustrated the visual below.

The anime will premiere next year on the TBS Television station and other venues.

The cast includes Natsuki Hanae as Maki Katsuragi and Tasuku Hatanaka as Tōma Shinjō.

Kazuki Akane (Escaflowne series and film, Code Geass: Akito the Exiled, Birdy the Mighty: Decode, Noein - to your other self) is directing anime at 8-Bit and also supervising and writing the series scripts. Yūichi Takahashi is adapting the original character designs by illustrator Itsuka, and also serving as animation director. Miki Takeshita is in charge of scene setting, and Shiori Shiwa is directing the art. Jin Aketagawa is directing the sound at Magic Capsule. Flying Dog is responsible for the music.

The teen adolescence story revolves around the coming-of-age of boys in a junior high school's soft tennis team, which is on the verge of shutting down. In the video above, the character Tōma Shinjō asks Maki Katsuragi to join the team for his vaunted abilities, and mentions a summer competition. Katsuragi asks for money in return for joining the team.
