Ani-One Asia's YouTube channel began streaming all the episodes of the first season of the Jujutsu Kaisen television anime on Thursday for Ultra subscribers.

Ani-One describes the anime:

Hardship, regret, shame: the negative feelings that humans feel become Curses that lurk in our everyday lives. The Curses run rampant throughout the world, capable of leading people to terrible misfortune and even death. What's more, the Curses can only be exercised by another Curse. Yuji Itadori is a boy with tremendous physical strength, though he lives a completely ordinary high school life. One day, to save a friend who has been attacked by Curses, he eats the finger of the Ryomen Sukuna, taking the Curse into his own soul. From then on, he shares one body with the Ryomen Sukuna. Guided by the most powerful of sorcerers, Satoru Gojo, Itadori is admitted to the Tokyo Jujustu High School, an organization that fights the Curses...

The anime premiered in Japan in October 2020 and aired for 24 episodes. Netflix began streaming the anime in India June 2021. Crunchyroll is also streaming the anime in India with both an English dub and with Japanese audio and English subtitles.

The second season of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime will premiere on July 6.

Sunghoo Park (The God of High School) directed the first season of the anime at MAPPA. Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan: Lost Girls, Banana Fish, Vinland Saga) wrote and supervised the scripts. Tadashi Hiramatsu (His and Her Circumstances, Yuri!!! on Ice, Parasyte -the maxim-) designed the characters. Hiroaki Tsutsumi, Yoshimasa Terui, and Arisa Okehazama composed the music.

Gekijō-ban Jujutsu Kaisen 0 (Jujutsu Kaisen 0 the Movie), a new anime film for the franchise, opened in India on June 30 and crossed ₹5.4 crore (approximately US$681,629) in earnings in its first weekend. Amazon Prime Video added the anime film in India in December and Crunchyroll added it in India in February. The film is based on Gege Akutami's Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Tokyo Toritsu Jujutsu Kōtō Senmon Gakkō (Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School) manga prequel story.

Akutami launched the main manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in March 2018.
