AniZona Announces Yoshitaka Amano as a Guest of Honor

PHOENIX, AZ – January 27, 2005 -- AniZona Incorporated is pleased to present Arizona's first full-fledged anime convention, AniZona. This high-energy, weekend-long retreat will take place in Phoenix, Arizona at the Embassy Suites North Hotel on March 25th and will continue, in full swing, through the 27th. All ages are invited and welcome to share in this first time event that has been several years in the making. Guests, panels, contests – AniZona will be full of activities to keep friends and family busy all weekend long. The pre-registration fee is only $35 and the price at the door will be $40 for the three-day event.

AniZona's guest list includes: Voice actors from Fullmetal Alchemist, Aaron Dismuke, Colleen Clickenbeard, Travis Willingham. Also attending are Katie Bair and Hide-san.

Appearing as the star Guest of Honor is Yoshitaka Amano. Amano is not only one of the best-known names in anime and video game fandoms, his popularity as an artist is widespread. Amano recently began a tour of Europe where he has held exhibitions in Germany and Switzerland. Incredibly multi-talented, Amano has done works in stained glass, ceramics, theater set, and costume designing. Amano is best known for his work as a concept designer for all Final Fantasy games, Gatchaman /G-force and his illustrations for Vampire Hunter D. It has been a several years since Amano last appeared at an American convention.
