YTV presents the broadcast premiere of Beyblade: Metal Fusion

Nickelodeon delivers premiere episodes all month long

(Toronto, Canada) Overflowing with new series and premiere episodes this May, Corus Entertainment, Canada's largest kids' broadcaster, delivers the highly anticipated broadcast premiere of Beyblade: Metal Fusion. Highlights also include: new episodes of five series on Nickelodeon (Canada) and a special Mother's Day event on Treehouse featuring two premiere themed episodes of Wonder Pets! and Noddy in Toyland.

BEYBLADE: METAL FUSION – SERIES PREMIERE

Following the Let it Rip phenomena that took over the TV screens and playgrounds in 2002, Beyblade makes its much anticipated return with a brand new generation of characters who take on the battle between good and evil. Competing for dominance with their spinning Beyblade tops, the perilous organization of the Dark Nebula is vying for world domination. The only person standing in their way is teenager Gingka, who struggles to find his strength to honour Beyblade and save the world. Produced by Nelvana and Japan's d-rights, Beyblade: Metal Fusion will air Saturdays at 12 p.m. beginning with a feature length episode on Saturday, May 15 at 12 p.m.

RUBY & THE ROCKITS – SERIES PREMIERE

This half-hour ABC Family sitcom follows former 80's rock star David Gallagher (David Cassidy) as he meets his teenage daughter Ruby (Alexa Vega) for the very first time. David wants to keep-up his nightly gig at local casinos, so he must reconcile with his brother and former band mate Patrick (Patrick Cassidy) to ask him to let Ruby join his quiet and normal family life. An aspiring musician, Ruby tries to keep the peace within the Gallagher family all while discovering what it's like being a part of a real family unit. Ruby & the Rockits premieres Thursday, May 6 at 8 p.m.

SPONGEODD SQUAREPARENTS DAY

In celebration of the May long weekend, YTV's annual event returns with a day filled with back-to-back episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants and The Fairly OddParents on Monday, May 24 beginning at 7 a.m., including three must-see premiere episodes in The Zone hosted by Carlos.

SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS: CHUM BUCKET SUPREME/SINGLE CELL ANNIVERSARY – PREMIERE

Plankton hires Patrick to develop a slogan to advertise the Chum Bucket. SpongeBob lends Plankton a hand to find the perfect anniversary gift for Karen. Premieres on Monday, May 24 at 4 p.m.

THE FAIRLY ODDPARENTS: CHICKEN POOFS/STUPID CUPID – PREMIERE

Poof has the Chicken Poofs and by mistake turns everyone into chickens. Timmy wants to go to the dance with Trixie and uses Cupid's arrow to make it happen. Premieres on Monday, May 24 at 5 p.m.

SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS: SQUID TV/I HEART DANCING – PREMIERE

Squidward gets his own TV show and becomes a star. Then, Squidward tries to ruin SpongeBob's dance audition. Premieres on Monday, May 24 at 5:30 p.m.

NICKELODEON MAY 2010 HIGHLIGHTS

SIDEKICK APPRECIATION DAY

Nickelodeon celebrates everyone's favourite sidekicks on Saturday, May 22 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. with back-to-back episodes of side-splitting fan-favourite Nick series like SpongeBob SquarePants; Danny Phantom; Back at the Barnyard; The Mighty B!; and Rugrats. The highlight of the day – the premiere episode Fanboy & Chum Chum: Total Recall/Refill Madness.

FANBOY & CHUM CHUM: TOTAL RECALL/REFILL MADNESS – PREMIERE

Fanboy and Chum Chum adore their new toy, even with its strange and painful features. When the toy is recalled, they do everything they can to keep it. And when Lenny and Boog discover that Fanboy and Chum Chum have a valuable cup that gets free refills at the Frosty Mart, they plan to take the cup for themselves. Premieres on Saturday, May 22 at 6 p.m.

NEW EPISODES ON NICK

Throughout the month of May, Nickelodeon is a one-stop shop for brand new episodes of Nick's much-loved series. Viewers can enjoy new episodes of The Fresh Beat Band on Mondays at 1:30 p.m., Team Umizoomi on Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m., Tak and the Power of JUJU on Saturdays at 6:30 p.m. and El Tigre on Saturdays at 7 p.m.

TREEHOUSE MAY 2010 HIGHLIGHTS

MOTHER'S DAY ON TREEHOUSE

On Sunday, May 9 beginning at 6 a.m., Treehouse will pay tribute to Mom all day long with mommy-themed episodes of viewers' favourite series like 3rd & Bird, Dora The Explorer and OLIVIA – and two premiere episodes of Noddy in Toyland and Wonder Pets!

NODDY IN TOYLAND: MOTHER'S DAY FOR MRS. SKITTLE – PREMIERE

With Noddy's help, the Skittles make a card for Mrs. Skittle, but everything goes awry when they try and bake something and it ends up all over the card. With many more efforts made, and many more malfunctions, at the of the day, all they have is a shabby card, but Mrs. Skittle loves it because it reminds her of her adventurous and thoughtful children. Noddy in Toyland: Mother's Day for Mrs. Skittle premieres on Sunday, May 9 at 1:30 p.m.

WONDER PETS!: HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! – PREMIERE

The Wonder Pets decide to take cookies to their Granny Ginny's house for Mother's Day. But, on their way they meet so many mothers and give out so many cookies that there aren't any left for Granny. This Mother's Day themed episode premieres on Sunday, May 9 at 6:30 p.m.
