Red 5 Studios Rolls Out "Firefall" At Anime Expo 2012 With A Spectacular Mobile Gaming Unit Created By West Coast Customs

LOS ANGELES (May 31, 2012)Anime Expo (AX), North America's largest anime, manga and Japanese pop culture celebration, will transport attendees into the futuristic science fiction universe of Red 5 Studios' new PC game, “Firefall,” when it returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center on June 29 – July 2, 2012. AX attendees will be the first to experience the mammoth “Firefall” Mobile Gaming Unit (MGU) brought to life by West Coast Customs, the world-famous wizards of automotive styling seen on Discovery Channel's Velocity HD.

“Firefall” is Red 5 Studios' upcoming free-to-play, open world PC action shooter. Set in a unique and beautiful science fiction universe 200 years in the future, players are part of the last remnant of humanity on Earth, fighting to survive against all odds on a hostile planet ravaged by an aggressive energy storm and under attack by a mysterious humanoid race known as the Chosen.

Undoubtedly West Coast Custom's most fantastic creation, the 48-foot-long MGU doubles for the futuristic fighting craft of “Firefall” and is equipped with 20 gaming stations powered by AMD where visitors can experience the elite-level eSports competitive play and robust open world that the highly anticipated game delivers. The MGU's debut at AX will be taped for an upcoming episode of “Inside West Coast Customs” to air on Velocity HD later this summer. AX guests can enter the world of “Firefall” and participate in tournament play from June 29 – July 1 while the MGU is stationed at the entrance of the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The “Firefall” Mobile Gaming Unit joins the previously announced Anime Expo 2012 line-up that includes composer Yuki Kajiura/”FictionJunction,” anime-inspired heavy metal band ANIMETAL USA, Culture Japan's Danny Choo, popular voice actors Jamie Marchi, Monica Rial and Steve Blum, Japanese pop star LiSA, dolldelight designer Cyril Lumboy, Lolita model Misako Aoki and the Gallery of Fantastic Art.
