Shin Sasaki to Appear at Otakon 2012

Baltimore, MD (July 12, 2012 – We are pleased to announce that Director Shin Sasaki will join us for Otakon 2012.

Shin Sasaki began his career at Sunrise in 1997. His initial foray into the anime industry was publicity work on the Brave series and the Cowboy Bebop Theatrical Edition.

He has been involved with Gundam projects since 1999. He did publicity on Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiy, and as head of the Development and Sales Department, he did planning work on all promotions, merchandising, and publishing initiatives. He was also involved in producing plans and events for off-shoots from the main stories (like Gundam Seed Astray). In recent years, he has been involved as a producer in almost every Gundam series, including the Gundam 00 series, MS Igloo2, SD Gundam Sangokuden, Gundam UC, and Gundam AGE. At present, he is a director at both SUNRISE and NAMCO BANDAI Live Creative Inc., and serves as a producer on Gundam music events and speaking events, and is exploring new possibilities in Anime.

Otakon 2012 will be held July 27 – 29 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
