Accel World (TV) Good Quite immersing, though somewhat childish anime. Well worth watching for younger fans or those who are just starting and want an easy to follow plot. I mustn't be too critical as it was quite a sound anime, with terrific character development, and an interesting plot that grows to become very addicting. I must warn you, I started the second half planning to watch one episode, and ended up being kept up till 5:00am in the morning, desperately hooked until the finish.
Air (TV) Very good Sad, satisfying, complex story. This anime was very hard to rate, partly due to how confusing it was, but was undoubtedly beautiful, and left me with a very peaceful, satisfied feeling. The storyline is very deep and intuitive, a notch above the other anime I have seen, as is the character development. However it may seem a little slow for some viewers, and if you don't invest enough time into the anime in order to understand it, it may not interest you and you will miss out on the rich emotional response that it brings from you.
Air In Summer (special) Very good
Guilty Crown (TV) Very good At first glance, it will blow your mind. The visuals and soundtrack for this anime are on a scale of their own. The characters were also quite good, though sometimes could have done with a little more attention to development and personality. Ulike some others, I found the main character extremely relate-able and human rather than the annoying wimp many (soulless, blind) people think he is, he was one of my favourite parts of the series. However, the plot lets this anime down a little. Although it is attention grabbing, epic and emotional in many parts, it has a slightly cliche base, and many confusing parts that aren't well resolved. It is very fast paced, and this leads to some confusion, which is not necessarily a bad thing, as long as it seems to be going somewhere. Unfortunately the ending is somewhat anticlimactic and inconclusive, leaving what could have been an intense, complex plot to look messy and poorly planned. Overall it is a wonderful series and sure to give you eye-gasms and ear-gasms galore. It is just a little disappointing that more thought wasn't put into the plot.
Kanon (TV 2/2006) Masterpiece ERMAGERD. That'll do for my review, just watch it and cry.
(The) Place Promised in Our Early Days (movie) Very good Very sweet. This is highly re-watchable as it has such a simple, yet interesting plot, and the characters are so sweet. It is very calming and pretty, giving you a satisfied feeling afterwards, but its simplicity and shortness may prevent you from getting too involved.
Sword Art Online (TV) Masterpiece Absolutely terrific anime, made me obsessed for ages. The character developement is sound, action scenes are among the best I have ever seen and the drama at times will lift you off your feet with passion. The storyline is easy enough to follow while definately being far superior to something labeled 'simple,' it is a good choice for those just starting to watch anime.
Toradora! (TV) Masterpiece Wow. This anime was so cute, hilarious, dramatic, beautiful, intense, sad, uplifting... I could go forever. If you're looking for something funny and slightly insane, definitely watch this anime. If you're looking for something deep and emotional, also watch it. No matter how it progressed, this anime had me hooked. The characters were by far the BEST of any anime i have seen to date, and the plot folds out so terrifically it will surprise you. I'm still busting for more OVAs.
