Persona 5 TV Anime Reveals New Visual for Show's 2nd Half

Aniplex revealed a new key visual on Sunday for A-1 Pictures' anime of Atlus' Persona 5 game on Sunday. The visual features the members of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, and previews the show's second half. The show's second half will premiere on July 7.

The anime's website previously revealed visuals for the protagonist Ren Amamiya (voiced by Jun Fukuyama), Ryuji Sakamoto (voiced by Mamoru Miyano), Morgana (voiced by Ikue Ōtani), Anne Takamaki (voiced by Nana Mizuki), Yusuke Kitagawa (voiced by Tomokazu Sugita), Makoto Niijima (voiced by Rina Satō), Futaba Sakura (voiced by Aoi Yūki), Haru Okumura (voiced by Haruka Tomatsu), and Goro Akechi (voiced by Sōichiro Hoshi).

The voice cast members from the game are reprising their roles for the anime. Masashi Ishihama (From the New World, Kamichu!) is directing PERSONA 5 the Animation, and the game franchise's producer Katsura Hashino is credited with the original story concept. Satomi Ishikawa (Convenience Store Boy Friends) is adapting Shigenori Soejima's original game character designs for animation. Kazuma Kaneko is credited for having drawn the original demon designs from the game. Shinichi Inotsume (Persona 5 the Animation -The Day Breakers-, Hayate the Combat Butler, Sket Dance) is in charge of the series scripts. Shoji Meguro is returning from the game to compose the anime's music.

The anime premiered on April 7, and is listed as having 12 home video release volumes in Japan. Aniplex of America has licensed the series for North America, and Crunchyroll and Hulu are streaming the series as it airs.
