Tiger & Bunny Anime Finale Event in Tokyo Detailed

Lead actors in event simulcasted in theaters throughout Japan; Tweeting during showing encouraged

The official website for the Tiger & Bunny television anime series revealed the details on Sunday for the all-night event being held on September 17 to commemorate broadcast of the show's last episode. The "Tiger & Bunny ~Arigatou! Soushite, Arigatou!!~" (Tiger & Bunny ~Thank You! And Again, Thank You!!~) event, which will be held from 11:00 p.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Sunday in Japan, will screen the 24th and 25th episodes in theaters across the country, and will also host a talk show.

The main event, which is being held at the Shinjuku Wald 9 Cinema in Tokyo, will host voice actors Hiroaki Hirata (Wild Tiger/Kotetsu T. Kaburagi) and Kōji Yusa (Lunatic/Yuri Petrov). The show's website has a list of 34 cinemas across Japan that will simulcast the event.

The website is also encouraging fans to post on Twitter during the event. The show had topped Japan's Twitter hashtags in June and July.

Sunrise's Tiger & Bunny anime centers around heroes for hire — super powered beings known as NEXT who wear sponsor logos while fighting crime on live television. Keiichi Satou (Karas director, The Big O character/mechanical designer) is helming the project, and Yoshihiro Ike (Blood: The Last Vampire, Karas, Dead Leaves) is composing the music.

Viz Media is streaming the anime outside Japan as it airs.
