Fate/Zero's 2nd Opening 'to the beginning' Sung by Kalafina

Sony Music announced on Saturday that the Japanese pop trio Kalafina is performing "in the beginning," the opening theme song for the second Fate/Zero television anime season. The new song debuted at Saturday's "Kalafina Live Tour 2012 'After Eden'" event, and its CD will go on sale on April 18. The first pressing of the CD will include a music video on DVD or Blu-ray Disc.
Kalafina's Wakana, Keiko, and Hikaru debuted in 2008 with "oblivious," the first of seven ending theme songs for the Kara no Kyōkai - the Garden of sinners anime films. Yuki Kajiura, a veteran composer of such anime as Noir, .hack//SIGN, and Tsubasa Chronicle, put together the Kalafina group and writes the music. Since 2008, Kalafina have performed theme songs for several other anime, including Black Butler and Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
The second season of Fate/Zero is slated to premiere with the anime's 14th episode this April.
