Shirokuma Café Anime's Cast, Premiere Date Revealed

Key cast members for the upcoming Shirokuma Café (Polar Bear Café) anime, as well as its premiere date, were announced on Thursday. The adaptation of the comedy manga by Aloha Higa will begin airing on April 5, and will feature Takahiro Sakurai as Shirokuma (Polar Bear), Jun Fukuyama as Panda, and Hiroshi Kamiya as Penguin.
It was previously announced that director Mitsuyuki Masuhara (Chi's Sweet Home, Kobato.), writer Toru Hosokawa (Coji-Coji), and anime studio Pierrot are adapting the manga.
The gag comedy, launched in Shogakukan's women's magazine Monthly Flowers in 2006, follows the daily life of penguins, grizzly bears, and other animals at a café run by a polar bear.
