Less Than 10% Survived the 1st Attack on Titan Real Escape Game

posted on by Bamboo Dong
Of 1,600 participants, only 120 survived.

The first Attack on Titan-inspired "Escape from a Certain Fortress Town" Real Escape Games took place this past weekend at Yokohama Stadium. Of the 1,600 participants who signed up for the event, only 120 "escaped" within the allotted one-hour time limit.

As in other Real Escape Games, players had to cooperate to solve puzzles to get items and passwords they need to escape. The scenario has players acting as trainees hoping to join the Survey Corps. The graduation event is interrupted when titans attack and break into the citadel; players have one hour to find the escape route.

The game will be held in five more locations throughout Japan, including Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Sendai, and Toyota. Tickets can be pre-ordered for ¥3,000, or purchased for ¥3,500 at the door.

As part of a promotional campaign last month, voice actors Yūki Kaji (Eren Jaeger), Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa Ackerman), and Yū Kobayashi (Sasha Braus) participated in an "Escape from the Extra Large Stomach" that was streamed on Nico Nico Douga.

The Real Escape Games are organized by SCRAP, whose other anime-inspired games include Death Note and One Piece. Those in San Francisco or Singapore can take part in their Space Brothers-inspired Escape from the Moon Base event happening soon.
