The Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum in Hyōgo Prefecture announced the "Macross: The Art 1982-2018" as its 74th exhibit on Friday. The exhibit will run at the museum from June 29 to October 29.
The exhibition celebrates the 35th anniversary of The Super Dimension Fortress Macross and 10th anniversary of Macross Frontier. Panels of the event key visual that Macross Frontier character designer Risa Ebata drew will be on display for the first time. More than 350 items of materials for various works in the franchise will also be on display for the first time.
People who visit the exhibit will receive one of 12 stickers featuring Macross characters with an Osamu Tezuka twist. The design will change every nine or ten days. The first design will feature Freyja Wion, and it will be available from June 29 to July 8.
In addition, eight restaurants near the museum will participate in a "Gourmet Macross" campaign that will offer dishes inspired by Macross characters and songs. People who order from the collaboration menu will receive a special coaster.
The Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum's current exhibit, "Tezukatsu! ~Tezuka Osamu x Aikatsu! Series~," features the Aikatsu! franchise. The exhibit opened on March 1, and it will run until June 25
