Viz Series Goes Brodcast

Viz Video announced today that KTEH-54 has acquired the rights to show Viz's two RANMA 1/2 movies. RANMA 1/2 is the third Viz title to show on non-cable TV. (FATAL FURY: THE MOTION PICTURE and GALAXY EXPRESS 999 aired on the Sci-Fi Channel in Summer 1998.) The 3-volume series PLEASE SAVE MY EARTH aired on KTEH-54 in July 1999, and by the 8-volume series KEY THE METAL IDOL in Fall 1998.
RANMA 1/2 MOVIE #1, "BIG TROUBLE IN NEKONRON, CHINA" will be shown on Sunday, March 12 at 9:33 P.M.; MOVIE #2, "NIHAO MY CONCUBINE", does not have a time scheduled yet.
Unique among public TV stations, KTEH-54 has aired other anime, including LUM*URUSEI YATSURA, TENCHI MUYO!, and soon, NEON GENESIS EVANGELION. Their weekly anime block is on Sunday nights.
