Katsucon Entrance Cap?

Katsucon to limit entry to 7000 people
According to A Fan's VIEW, the following statement has been issued by Katsucon staff in regards to the number of people allowed to enter this year's convention:
"To ensure that Katsucon complies with local fire regulations, we have set a 7,000 person membership cap on Katsucon 8, taking place at the Marriott Waterfront Hotel, in Baltimore, Maryland, February 15-17, 2002. This means that no more then 7,000 memberships will be issued. Guests, pre-registered members, vendors, panel participants, and Katsucon staff are already included in this number, and their memberships will not be affected. At-the door registration will open Friday morning at 9:00am and Saturday morning at 9:00am. While we do not expect to need to worry about the cap until Saturday afternoon, we thought it best to let people know early."
Japanese Guests of Honor at this year's Katsucon are:
Hirofumi Adachi - Manager to Mr. Yoshiki Tanaka, the author of The Legend of the Galactic Heroes.
Noboru Ishiguro - Animator / Director, Tetsuwan Atom, Space Cruiser Yamato, Super Dimensional Fortress Macross, Legend of Galactic Heroes OAV.
Maria Kawamura - Voice Actress, Gunbuster, Slayers, Zeta Gundam.
Yukio Kikukawa - Producer for The Legend of the Galactic Heroes series.
