Geneon, Azureus to Offer Anime on BitTorrent via Vuze
posted on 2007-05-31 14:36 EDTAzureus, Inc., the developer of the BitTorrent file-sharing client of the same name and the Vuze video service, has announced an anime distribution agreement with Geneon Entertainment. Vuze will offer Lupin III (including episode 3, which could not be shown on television), Ayakashi, Gankutsuou, GUNxSWORD, and Last Exile. Each title's first episode will be free. Vuze requires digital rights management software from Windows XP or Vista, as well as Windows Media Player 10 or higher. Vuze currently offers titles from Starz! and Central Park Media.

Watase's Fushigi Yûgi is without a doubt one of the titles to set the standard for what “manga” in the United States has come to be. For this reason alone, it is a must-read. But even if you couldn't care a whit about its historical significance, it's still a fun story that may be enjoyed purely on its own terms.
Eureka 7 DVD 2These episodes may not be the most exciting stretch in the series, but they do offer good development of character relationships and a partial look into the pasts of key cast members. The story is fun at times but shading in a more dramatic direction.
