The exhibitor notes for the Tokyo International Fair lists an "Appleseed: Genesis" stage event on March 30, the last public day of the fair. According to the notes, Micott & Basara, one of the production companies behind the computer-graphics (CG) Appleseed films, will discuss Masamune Shirow's original future police manga work and the production of a television series. The television series will have "the genius of the 3D CG world, Romanov Higa" directing. Higa directed 2003's Urda net anime video series, 2006's TANK S.W.A.T. 01 (the Shirow-inspired video pictured at right), and 2006's Catblue: Dynamite net anime video series. The 5:30 p.m. event is set to reveal the story, voice cast, and character designs, as well as hold a discussion with the director and main cast. Higa and popular voice actress Romi Paku (Fullmetal Alchemist's Ed, NANA anime's Nana Osaki) are scheduled to appear. The television series was originally announced in 2005, after the first Appleseed film opened, and previously described as a 26-episode series scheduled for 2006.
