Someday's Dreamers Adapted into New Anime This Summer

Natsu no Sora spinoff ties into new Shōnen Ace manga, live-action film

The May issue (on sale on March 26) of Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Shōnen Ace has announced that the Mahō Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto (Someday's Dreamers) storyline will get a new television anime this summer to go alongside the new Natsu no Sora (Summer's Sora) manga series and live-action film. The original Someday's Dreamers manga writer and artist, Norie Yamada and Kumichi Yoshizuki, launched the new manga in the April issue (released on February 26). The live-action film was announced last October. Unlike the previous Someday's Dreamers projects, all three of the new projects focus on a character named Sora, a budding mage learning to use her powers in Tokyo. Osamu Kobayashi (Kimagure Orange Road, BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad, Paradise Kiss) will direct the animators at Hal Film Maker on the new anime.

Tokyopop released the original Someday's Dreamers manga in North America, and Geneon Entertainment released the original anime series (pictured at right).
