News Japanese Box Office, January 10-11

Major: Yūjō no Winning Shot, Takao Kato's anime film based on Takuya Mitsuda's baseball manga, dropped down from #4 to #7 on Kogyo Tsushinsha's Japanese box office chart for January 10-11. According to Box Office Mojo, the movie added the equivalent of US$610,489 to its US$10,271,867 total in its fifth weekend. It had been rising back up for two straight weekends before.
Eiga! Tamagotchi Uchū Ichi Happy na Monogatari!?, the second feature film inspired by Bandai's Tamagotchi virtual pet franchise, fell from #9 off the chart in its fourth weekend. Bleach: Fade to Black - Kimi no Na o Yobu, the third anime film based on Tite Kubo's manga, also slipped from #10 off the chart in its fifth weekend. Andrew Stanton and Pixar's computer-animated Wall-E film stayed on top in its sixth weekend.
