School Days' Motonaga directs anime of MinatoSoft's adult dating simulation

A television anime adaptation of MinatoSoft's Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai!! adult dating simulation game has been green-lit for this year. Keitaro Motonaga (Katanagatari, School Days) is directing the anime at the studio Lerche. Katsuhiko Takayama (Ga-Rei: Zero, Sore de mo Machi wa Mawatteiru) is writing and supervising the scripts, while Mayumi Watanabe (Freezing, Yoshinaga-san'chi no Gargoyle) is designing the characters and overseeing the animation process. Yasunori Ebina (Naruto, Toaru Majutsu no Index) is serving as the sound director at Dax Production.

The slapstick comedy story of the original game is set in a modern-day school and features a boy named Yamato Nanoe who is surrounded by all-warrior female cast. The game shipped in Japan on August 28, 2009.

Update: More background information and image added.

Update 2: The production company Pony Canyon registered the domain anime-majikoi.com, although all the website has is the character Miyako Shiina holding a sign that says, "Mada hayai yo!" (It's still early!). Lerche's Romanized spelling added and typo fixed. Thanks, 4nBlue and roanhammer.
